The FMS-6100 supplies the capability of en route, terminal, and non-precision approach navigation. The system contains an advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver and processes the transmissions from multiple GPS satellites simultaneously to calculate navigation solutions based on information from all satellites in view. A sophisticated interface with the FGS allows the FMS VNAV function to select various FGS vertical modes of navigation.
