Aplicativos para Celular – Aviação

Há algum tempo tinha pensado em fazer uma seleção com alguns aplicativos para celular que pudessem nos ajudar nos cursos e nos voos. Ontem peguei um pouco mais firme na busca e trago para vocês alguns dos aplicativos que encontrei. Ainda não testei nenhum por falta de tempo e de internet no celular (que precisa para baixar os arquivos no Android). Mas quem for baixando e testando, vai dando seu relato pra gente.

Vou dividir em 3 categorias, que são as mais usadas hoje: Android, iOS e Symbian. Se você souber de mais aplicativos, mande pra gente para que possamos complementar a lista.

ILS Approach Editing Tutorial FS2004 FSX

 

ILS Approach Editing Tutorial. This is a little tutorial (illustrated text in PDF format) on creating ILS approaches using ADE9x and getting them to work with flightsim ATC. It also contains a few notes on flying ILS approaches. The reason this tutorial was created is that the author had such a heck of time getting this to work (adding ILS approaches for runways that had none in the past, and getting ATC to use them), so the tutorial is offered to spare others following the same path some of the troubles and headaches. The tutorial is specifically addressed to FS2004, but almost everything in it should also apply to FSX. To read the tutorial you will need a PDF reader - Acrobat Reader, etc.

Flight Calculator FS2004 FSX

Flight Calculator v1.6.5. FS Flight Calculator will calculate distance and arrival times for both FSX and FS2004. The program has four input components, Local TimeZone, Departing Airport, Destination Airport and the Aircraft to be used for the flight. The program calculates the distance in nautical miles between two FlightSim Airports. It determines the flight length in hours based on the aircraft's speed and then calculates the Arrival time. If the flight time passes midnight the arrival day is incremented by a day. In addition this version takes into account the timezones of both departing and destination airports and calculates the timezone offset between them allowing display of the arrival in local time at the destination airport. The distances and times are based on point to point calculations and do not allow for taxi out, taxi in, start-up times etc. To compensate for this you can input a time period in minutes which is automatically added to the flight time to give a more accurate estimate of arrival times. This version also adds a Flight Summary Window to the main screen, the ability to create multi leg routes and a utility to create a new Aircraft.txt file.

AI Flight Planner

AI Flight Planner is a fully-integrated, comprehensive AI flight planning system for both FS2004 and FSX. It can use either TTools-format text files or compiled MSFS traffic files as source data. Among its unique features are: departure and arrival times may be specified using local time, airports specified using either ICAO or IATA codes, similar legs in weekly flight plans created automatically, comprehensive error checking and traffic file validation and conversion. 

Version 2 adds a full range of flight plan and repaint installion capabilities as well as several other new functions. These new capabilities were developed in cooperation with AIG (Alpha-India Group). 

While intended to meet AIG's specific requirements, AIFP version 2 remains a general purpose tool that may be used to install anyones flight plans and repaint packages. This re-release of Version 2 is to facilitate future updates from http://stuff4fs.com. Current users of Version 2 will be automatically updated.

KTEX - Approach to Telluride Free Mission

The Telluride Regional Airport is the highest commercial airport in the United States with an elevation of 9,078 feet above sea level. It is surrounded closely by mountains of over 14,000 feet. Telluride's short runway and instrument approach procedures do not accommodate larger jet aircraft that also lack the performance to utilize this high altitude field effectively.

I have designed that free mission to recreate a realistic approach using a default FSX Beechcraft King Air 300.

The mission starts at 18000 feet, about 70Nm from Telluride Airport, and you will experience an IFR approach plate.

Activate the ATC windows and follow detailed instruction. Real weather is active in this flight, so, arrival runway depends by weather condition.

Banking Camera v1.0 FSX

Automatically banks the camera view as you bank the aircraft - enables you to 'look where you're going' without having to pan around using the HatSwitch. As you roll wings level, the camera banks level again. It's almost like a head-tracking device, but without all the hardware strapped to your head!

Animated Gates 2010 FS2004

Delivery Guy's Animated Gates 2010 West Coast is a cool program that does everything it says it will and more. While I wouldn't call the installation "no setup," it's not hard to do. The program has more than meets the eye because of the large number of compatible aircraft that were not mentioned in the product description. Once you learn how to use it, it's very easy. Would I sit there and watch all the animations every time? Probably not, but having those typical activities going on around you while you're preparing the aircraft for departure and shutting down after arrival enhances the experience. The price for this unusual and fascinating program is very reasonable.

The Animated Gates I reviewed is called "West Coast 2010." It's for FS2004, and it includes the following ten airports in the western United States: Albuquerque International (New Mexico), Anchorage International (Alaska), Denver International (Colorado), Honolulu International (Hawaii), Los Angeles International (California), McCarran International (Nevada), Portland International (Oregon), Sacramento International (California), San Francisco International (California), Seattle-Tacoma International (Washington).
