A320 A330 A340 Airbus ECAM Trainer

What is ECAM?

ECAM (Electronic Centralised Aircraft Monitoring) is at the heart of every modern Airbus aircraft. ECAM monitors all aircraft systems and alerts pilots to any malfunction, giving the actions required to resolve the situation. This powerful system requires pilots to have a thorough understanding of its operation and a high level of experience and discipline to ensure a successful outcome is achieved during abnormal conditions.

How are ECAM skills usually acquired?

A significant number of Fixed Base and Full Flight Simulator (FFS) sessions are spent developing and maintaining the required exposure to ECAM; the majority of time without needing the full suite of simulator functionality.

Voo ETOPS

Advanced Avionics Handbook

This handbook is designed as a technical reference for pilots who operate aircraft with advanced avionics systems. Whether flying a conventional aircraft that features a global positioning system (GPS) navigation receiver or a new  aircraft with the latest integrated “glass cockpit” advanced avionics system, you should find this handbook helpful in getting started. The arrival of new technology to general aviation aircraft has generated noticeable changes in three areas: information, automation, and options.

Pilots now have an unprecedented amount of information available at their fingertips. Electronic flight instruments use innovative techniques to determine aircraft attitude, speed, and altitude, presenting a wealth of information in one or more integrated presentations. A suite of cockpit information systems provides pilots with data about aircraft position, planned route, engine health and performance, as well as surrounding weather, traffic, and terrain.

TCAS II / ACAS II Collision Avoidance System User’s Manual

This manual applies to systems which are compliant to RTCA DO185A MOPS Change 7.0 and RTCA “DO-185” MOPS Change 6.04a. These systems are referred to as TCAS II (Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System) in the United States and ACAS II (Airborne Collision Avoidance System) internationally. The terminology is used interchangeably and, for the purpose of discussion, TCAS II will be the terminology used in this manual.
